Prinknash Abbey Blends
Abbey Blend
The Abbey blend incense is based on recipes developed by the monks. The Abbey incense is a blend of pure frankincense and natural oils, which has its own distinctive fragrance and aroma. Decades of care in the blending of this incense has ensured excellence and constant demand.
Basilica Blend
As well as frankincense and its own mixture of essential oils, Basilica Resin Incense contains two other solid incenses, making it our most complex blend. It was developed out of attempts to copy a recipe for incense in the Book of Exodus, and for many it is the distinctively Prinknash incense. Despite being the most expensive, it remains the most popular.
Cathedral Blend
Based on recipes developed by the monks, the Cathedral Blend Resin Incense is a blend of pure frankincense and natural oils which has its own distinctive fragrance and aroma. Decades of care in the blending of this incense has ensured excellence and constant demand.
Priory Blend
Priory is our simplest incense, being pure frankincense with no additional oils added. Frankincense, or gum olibanum, comes from South Arabia and the Horn of Africa, and has been used as the basis of incense for several thousand years.
St Michael
The Prinknash incense blend of St Michael consists of natural and coloured grains of frankincense with a little added balance of myrrh.
Sanctuary
Based on recipes developed by the monks, the Sanctuary incense is a blend of pure frankincense and natural oils, which has its own distinctive fragrance and aroma. Decades of care in the blending of this incense has ensured excellence and constant demand.
Gift Sets and Starter packs which include Prinknash Abbey

We also sometimes have gift sets containing 500g refills and other amounts in the most popular blends. Keep an eye out for the latest deals

Our final word on Prinknash Abbey Resin Incense
We love the Prinknash Abbey and their products and would encourage everyone to visit them and see where it all comes from and make sure you visit the café and shop. They have many great Abbey products for sale there, such as honey and other things that are made on site, such as a Rosemary or maybe an oil painting, and, of course, you can get some of their lovely food in the café.
Watch out for the fake and “different brand” incense with similar names. I personally have found that some of them leave a nasty after smell due to cheaper components that are used and hence a cheaper price. Not something I have found with the Prinknash incense.
